How to diagnose problems

NTpage maintains several log files containing extensive diagnostic information. These logs are helpful for diagnosing problems.

NTpage Server Logs
The NTpage Server maintains the following logs. The exact location of these logs can be found in the NTpage Administrator. You can also view these logs in the NTpage Administrator.

TAP Log - Contains information regarding all TAP protocol communications. If you are using TAP as the protocol to communicate with a paging company this log will have detailed information about the connection and protocol.

Email Log - Contains information regarding sending email and any errors encountered connecting to email servers to send messages.

Server Log - Contains information about the NTpage Server Service. This gives details on the service and any errors it encounters.

TNPP Log -Contains information regarding all TNPP protocol communications. If you are using TNPP as the protocol to communicate with a paging company this log will have detailed information about the connection and protocol.
